I currently fly the C-17 Globemaster transport plane. I fly to areas all around the world taking in supplies, moving medical teams, and sometimes having to get those in need out of hot spots when under fire! We can carry over a half-million pounds into the air and stop on runways as short as 3000 feet! As pilots, we use the weather, weight calculations, navigation, and up to date technology to work with fantastic people from all over the world. We do our absolute best to get people, cargo, and even animals safely to the farthest corners of the world where they are needed. Pilots travel everywhere and need to know how to calmly handle emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner. If you love traveling and know that there is nothing to be afraid of flying, then becoming a pilot in the US Air Force is in your future.
